Medical Podiatrist in Sandviken

At the foot care clinic in Sandviken, which is part of the gastroenterology and endocrinology clinic in Gävle, we care for patients with various internal medicine diseases. Here, doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants work together. Medical foot care providers in Sandviken and Gävle collaborate closely, including through a joint foot round once a week, and cover for each other during absences. Working hours are Monday to Friday during daytime.

Job Responsibilities

As a medical podiatrist with us, you are offered a varied and independent job where you make a difference in patients' health and quality of life. You work both preventively and therapeutically with patients within specific diagnostic groups and become an important part of the multidisciplinary care team.

As a foot care specialist with us, you will among other things:

• Conduct assessments and perform medical foot care based on the patient's needs.
• Work preventively to reduce the risk of foot-related complications.
• Follow up on treatments and, if necessary, plan for long-term care measures.
• Provide advice and information to patients regarding self-care and foot health.
• Document and collaborate with other professional groups to ensure good and safe care.
• Participate in the multidisciplinary foot team, which meets regularly every Tuesday.

In the role of foot care specialist, you must have:

• Education as a medical podiatrist with a completed degree.

For this position, it is meritorious if you are trained as a nursing assistant and/or have further education or experience in diabetic foot care and wound care.
