We are currently looking for a swap loader driver who will play a key role in the collection and transport of large containers with municipal waste. Here, you work with efficient and safe transports that contribute every day to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.

Job Responsibilities

The Waste Department faces many exciting challenges and therefore needs to recruit a swap loader driver. The position involves transporting and loading containers with waste and tipping them at designated locations. Together with us, you will become part of a team responsible for ensuring that Stockholmers have their waste collected in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.

Examples of job responsibilities:

Pick up large containers/swap bodies, tip them, and drive them back based on planned routes.
Conduct safety checks and daily supervision of vehicles.
Ensure vehicles are handed over and picked up for services and repairs.
Drive vehicles for annual inspection.
Ensure vehicles are kept clean and well-maintained both internally and externally.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period, located at our facility in Högdalen.

Qualifications

As a person, you take great responsibility for your work and drive it forward in an independent and structured manner. You are communicative and have a service-oriented attitude, while also being flexible and able to adapt when conditions change. You take initiative, solve problems, and collaborate well with others to achieve common goals.

We are looking for you who have:

A driver's license with at least a C-category.
A valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
At least five years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
Experience driving swap loaders and handling container collection in an inner-city environment.
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

Experience working as a swap loader driver for the City of Stockholm.
Experience in supervisory tasks.
