About the Position

We are now looking for you who want to work as a speech therapist at our Child and Adolescent Habilitation center.

Responsibilities

Here, you will work in a multidisciplinary team where you play an important role in mapping, assessing, planning, and implementing interventions for the child/adolescent. Your work will include both direct interventions for the child and support for guardians/close environment.

As a speech therapist, you will meet children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication difficulties, oral motor difficulties, as well as eating and swallowing difficulties. Your important task will be to use your speech therapy competence to map, diagnose, and treat.

A central part of the work is to supervise parents and others in the child's network from your speech therapy perspective. At Child and Adolescent Habilitation, speech therapists lead various types of group interventions, e.g., AKKtiv (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), lectures on language, eating difficulties, and a play group focusing on communication.

As an employee, you have an important role in the continued development of habilitation.

As a new speech therapist here, you will receive an introduction from the team and a speech therapy colleague according to the introduction program, as well as regular meetings with speech therapy colleagues.

Qualifications and Merits

Qualifications:
We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist. A category B driver's license is required as travel within the county occurs.

You need to be creative and resourceful because our mission often involves finding alternative solutions. Since multidisciplinary teamwork is a fundamental basis for habilitation interventions, we place great emphasis on teamwork skills and good communication.

It is an advantage if you have experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and have previously worked with children and adolescents and/or people with disabilities.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
