In the autumn, we are implementing a new organizational structure within the social services administration. Therefore, we are now advertising three new managerial positions, one of which is the role of Operations Manager for LSS and Individual and Family Care (IFO).
Härjedalen Municipality is looking for an Operations Manager who will take on an exciting and important role in our organization. Responsibilities
As the Operations Manager for LSS and IFO, you report directly to the Head of Social Services. A key part of your role is to represent the interests of your units in the administration's management group. You will be the manager of eight supervisors, and your role will involve work at both strategic and operational levels.
In this position, you are responsible for the leadership, coordination, and development of the operations. You work strategically with a focus on quality, legal security, and long-term economic sustainability. At the same time, you are expected to support managers and employees in complex issues and cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, supporting, and developing the unit managers within IFO and LSS. You strive to create good conditions for the managers' working environment and continuous development.
- Ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with current legislation, political goals, and established quality requirements.
- Serving as a qualified support in matters concerning the Social Services Act (SoL), LSS, and complex cases.
- Ensuring that both LSS operations and social services maintain high quality throughout the municipality.
- Being responsible for the budget, economic follow-up, and resource planning within the operational area.
- Driving development and change work to meet future needs and create long-term sustainable operations.
- Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to the strategic development of the social services administration as a member of the management group.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create efficient working methods and high-quality care.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are an experienced leader with the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. You have a good understanding of public sector operations and experience leading complex organizations where quality, economy, and development go hand in hand.
For this position, you must have:
- A relevant academic degree, such as a social work degree or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Several years of experience in managerial or leadership roles.
- Experience with budget responsibility and economic control.
- Experience working within social services, LSS, or related operational areas.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, especially the Social Services Act (SoL) and LSS, but also LVU and LVM.
- A valid Category B driver's license.
The following are considered meritorious:
- Experience working within municipal operations.
- Experience from a similar Operations Manager role.
- Experience in change and development work.
