About the role

Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge is looking for a Crop Production Advisor for our clients in Blekinge County. At our organization, you will work closely with our clients, providing advice to strengthen and improve their crop production. Our role is to support farmers throughout the entire crop production year. We assist with crop planning for the upcoming season and review the need for purchasing inputs. During the spring, we help apply for EU subsidies. When the field season begins, we are on-site to assess establishment, emergence, fertilization needs, plant protection needs, and follow-up advice. Additionally, once the crop year is complete, we can perform a post-calculation of the production to analyze the economics of each specific crop. To ensure farmers' work runs efficiently, we also assist with permit applications within the scope of the Environmental Code, such as habitat protection and within water protection areas. We primarily work with recurring clients, becoming well-versed in the specific conditions of each farm.

About you

We are looking for an advisor with strong communication and pedagogical skills, who enjoys working in a team close to colleagues but can also handle client responsibility independently. An analytical and solution-oriented attitude combined with an interest in sustainable agriculture is key. Attention to detail in administration and a service-oriented mindset towards clients and colleagues are important, as is business-like handling of time reporting and invoicing. Good verbal and written Swedish skills are a prerequisite.

Since we work long-term with our clients, it is important that you view this position as a long-term commitment where you will grow and develop alongside our clients and colleagues. We are looking for someone who is passionate about agriculture and sees economic sustainability as a central part of the advisory work.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education or university degree in agronomy or equivalent competence.
• A valid B-driver's license is required as travel is involved in the role.

Merits

• Several years of experience in agricultural advisory services or farm management.
• Experience with SAM applications, investment support, and permit applications within water protection areas.
• Experience working towards revenue targets.
• Knowledge of agricultural economics, allowing you to view the business as a whole beyond just crop production.
