At our ordinary housing services, we strive to provide individuals with the right support based on their needs, delivered with respect and good treatment, thereby creating a sense of security.
Valla Home Care is now looking for three dedicated employees to join our wonderful team. We operate from a central location and work in the Valhalla area, but we also support other units within the municipality. We are now expanding our team with three permanent positions.
Job Responsibilities
As an employee, your primary task is to provide support, motivation, and care to our users. We work with a health-promoting approach aimed at strengthening the individual's own abilities, ensuring that everyone who receives our support feels secure in staying in their own homes.
Involvement, development, and community are key words for us, where continuous improvements create the prerequisites for high quality. We utilize welfare technology with the aim of increasing security, involvement, and independence for our users.
Duties include, among other things, personal care, assistance with household chores in users' homes, medication management, wound dressing changes, documentation, contact person duties, as well as social and physical activities together with our users. We work in a team-based manner, meaning that many different professional groups share the common goal of creating a good quality of life for our users.
You will currently be placed at Valla Home Care. We also collaborate with neighboring areas.
We offer you meaningful work where you have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge within palliative care, dementia care, daily rehabilitation approaches, and transfer techniques.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or have other education or experience that the employer deems sufficient. We prefer that you have further education in elderly care and/or dementia, or a specialization in psychiatry. Experience working in healthcare and social services is an advantage.
It is important that you enjoy working with people and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and working methods.
The job requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing to, among other things, communicate with users, perform care documentation, and receive medication delegation.
A valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car are required.
Please attach your CV and a cover letter with your application.
For questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Peter Westergren. During weeks 27 and 30, questions will be answered by Nelly Gulliusson at the same phone number.
In the Welfare Administration, approximately 2,500 employees work. The administration is governed by the Welfare Board, based on the administration's mission statement: "Together we facilitate people's opportunity to live a meaningful life." We work to achieve the municipality's vision: We build best together.
During the interview process, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal records are required. We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.
Some positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, so a security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
