We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented senior teacher in mathematics at our school.

Röllingby School is a preschool to grade 6 school a few hundred meters from central Åkersberga. We are a small school with approximately 180 students but are also part of a principal's district. Röllingby School is enriched with many cultures where we meet through curiosity, openness, and inclusion. With a salutogenic and preventive approach, we focus on promoting factors and adapt the learning environment and make teaching accessible to all of our students.

Your new job

In the role of senior teacher, you combine teaching with a school-wide development assignment. You will work as a class teacher and mentor in grades 4–6, while also leading and driving the development of the school's mathematics teaching.

Your responsibilities

• Teach and be responsible for a class in grades 4–6
• Be a mentor for students and have close cooperation with guardians
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on regulatory documents
• Lead the pedagogical development work in mathematics across the entire school
• Support and inspire colleagues in mathematics didactic issues
• Contribute to collegial learning, for example through lesson observations, workshops, or analysis of results

Your profile

We are looking for you who:

• Have a strong commitment to students' learning in mathematics
• Are driven, structured, and solution-focused
• Have a scientific approach to teaching
• Want to contribute to a strong and development-oriented learning environment

In addition to this, you need to have the following qualifications for the position:

• Licensed teacher with eligibility to teach in grades 4–6
• Documented good teaching skills
• Experience in working with development assignments or leading collegial learning
• Good ability to analyze results and translate them into improved teaching
• Ability to collaborate, inspire, and create engagement

Terms of employment

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 47,000 and 55,000 SEK depending on experience and competence. In some cases, more senior candidates may be offered a higher salary within the total span of the role.
