The Role of Area Manager

Being an Area Manager at Samhall means being at the absolute center of our operations. In Strömsund, you lead a team of approximately 20 employees who work in various customer assignments, and your primary objective is to give your employees the opportunity to discover and develop their competence so that, in the long run, they can leave Samhall for another employer.

In your daily work, you also have extensive contact with your customers and ensure that everything functions as it should. Through good relationships, you also develop the business and find opportunities for more job placements for Samhall's employees.

Creating conditions for the development of our employees and ensuring our customers are satisfied is, therefore, the very core of our mission as a company. Therefore, all efforts are directed towards creating the platform for you as an Area Manager.

What do we offer you?

Here you will develop as a leader regardless of previous experience, and you will also build specific knowledge in several areas, including leading people with disabilities.

As an Area Manager in Strömsund, you work independently and have broad responsibility for the operations in the locality. You have your closest managerial colleagues in Östersund and report to the Operations Manager. You also collaborate with various support functions in the district and centrally.

You will simultaneously become part of a large company with 24,000 employees and be surrounded by over 800 colleagues across the country who have the same role as you. Samhall is in important and exciting development where you, as an Area Manager, play a key role and where your perspectives are valued.

What do you bring to the role?

As an Area Manager, you are operational, present, and able to make decisions with high integrity. Having experience from and thriving in an operation characterized by high tempo and with the human being at the center is a requirement. We also know that you are comfortable in the leadership role and have good knowledge of the tasks included in a managerial assignment.

To succeed in the role, you need to have:

  • Leadership experience with operational, personnel, and result responsibility
  • Experience of customer relations with good results
  • Experience of working with people with disabilities
  • Experience of facility maintenance is meritorious
  • Previous experience with administration, documentation, and good system familiarity
  • High school diploma
  • Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Category B driver's license

Employment type: Permanent with a 6-month probationary period

Geographical location: This position is located at our office in Strömsund, where you spend approximately half of your working time between 07:00-16:00. The rest of the time you spend out with your customers and employees.
