About the role: We are looking for an engaged and driven educator to join Parken Zoo's education department. Here, you will have a unique opportunity to combine pedagogy with experiences in a living zoo environment. As an educator, you play a vital role in our work to spark curiosity, create understanding, and increase awareness about animals, nature, and sustainability among both children and adults. Through inspiring encounters, interactive activities, and educational programs, you contribute to ensuring our visitors gain knowledge that stays with them long after their visit.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct educational programs for school groups and the general public.
• Lead guided tours and presentations about animals and zoo operations.
• Create educational materials and interactive activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high-quality visitor experience.
• The position may involve working weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with animals is an advantage.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent experience is an advantage.
• Ability to engage and inspire both children and adults.
• Good communication skills and experience speaking in front of groups.
• Creativity and initiative.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
