Teacher in Wood and Metal Craft at Vasaskolan in Hedemora

Vasaskolan is a multi-track secondary school located in central Hedemora, where the upper secondary school is also housed in the same building. Currently, there are approximately 450 students at the school. In addition, we offer adapted basic education and adapted upper secondary education.

Job Responsibilities

The Education Administration is seeking a teacher in wood and metal craft at Vasaskolan, our municipal secondary school. You will work as a primary and lower secondary school teacher in craft, wood, and metal, for grades 7–9. As a teacher at Vasaskolan, you conduct modern and creative teaching and find strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

Your duties include, among other things, planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the work team you belong to. You collaborate with other school staff to ensure a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participate in the school's development work.

Qualifications

• Are certified with the qualification to teach wood and metal craft at the secondary level.
• Show a professional attitude towards students, guardians/legal representatives, and colleagues.

• Have an interest in collegial work and contribute with a positive view of students as well as an engagement that motivates and stimulates student learning.
