Project Manager at Nordic Green Group

Do you want to combine project management with practical work in a company that creates pleasant and sustainable outdoor environments? Do you thrive in a role where you take significant responsibility, stay close to operations, and drive projects forward? This might be the right opportunity for you.

The position is based at our office in Växjö, and you will report directly to the CEO. You will become a key part of our continued expansion in the region and will have great opportunities to influence both the role and the future development of the business.

About the role

As a Project Manager at Nordic Green Group, you will play a central role in driving and developing our projects within outdoor environments, civil engineering, and maintenance. The role is broad and varied; you will be responsible for projects from handover to final delivery, while simultaneously being a natural part of daily operations.

You combine project management and planning with active participation in the field, supporting practical on-site work when needed. You enjoy being close to the projects and see it as a natural part of the assignment to roll up your sleeves and contribute where needed.

At our company, a lack of hierarchy is a given. We help each other, share responsibility, and work towards common goals. For you who appreciate a varied daily routine with significant personal responsibility, close customer contact, and the ability to influence both projects and operations, there are excellent opportunities to thrive and develop in this role.

Your responsibilities will include among other things:

  • Project management of civil engineering and maintenance projects
  • Planning, coordination, and follow-up of ongoing work
  • Customer contact and continuous dialogue with clients
  • Ordering of materials and resources
  • Documentation, follow-up, and project administration
  • Economic follow-up of projects and calculations
  • Quality assurance and warranty maintenance
  • Practical work in the field when needed, e.g., planting and maintenance tasks

Projects vary in size from smaller assignments to larger contracts and long-term operation and maintenance agreements.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have experience from the green industry and thrive in a role that combines structure, business acumen, and practical work. You are self-motivated and proactive, taking responsibility for your projects by driving them forward in an organized and goal-oriented manner. With good skills in planning, prioritizing, and making independent decisions, you simultaneously build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.

You are non-hierarchical and flexible in your working style, thriving in an environment where the pace varies and no two days are alike. You easily switch between strategic issues, customer contact, and operational work out in the projects. For you, it is natural to contribute where needed and actively support the team in achieving common goals.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

  • Have experience in project management within gardening, parks, outdoor environments, or civil engineering
  • Have good knowledge of plants and horticulture
  • Have experience in customer contact and driving projects forward
  • Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Fluently speak and write Swedish

A horticultural education is meritorious but not a requirement.
