About the role

As a Transport Manager here, you are responsible for the daily operation of the terminal, planning of workflows, as well as leading and developing your team. You coach and develop our drivers, monitor results, and ensure efficient operations that meet the company's requirements for cost, delivery, quality, health, environment, and safety – while creating a motivated and engaged team. The assignment is linked to the collaboration with one of our larger customers.

You are an present and engaged leader who both develops your team and contributes personally to daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient logistics at the terminal. The role also involves close collaboration with other functions within the company. The team you lead consists of both Class C and Class B drivers.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

• Planning and developing production and working methods, as well as implementing improvements in the short and long term.
• Actively participating in customer meetings, personnel planning meetings, and other forums related to the work team.
• Being a supportive, solution-oriented, and active leader who promotes continuous improvement.
• Responsible for personnel planning, onboarding of new staff, ensuring time reports are submitted on time and approved, as well as processes such as recruitment, competence development, and rehabilitation.
• Working systematically with quality, working environment, and safety, including risk analyses, action plans, safety rounds, and fire safety work.
• Handling and following up on incidents, accidents, and improvement measures in collaboration with HR.
• Ensuring that laws, regulations, and internal routines are followed, as well as handling and, if necessary, escalating quality and delivery deviations.
• Being a culture carrier and role model who actively communicates the company's values.

About you

We are looking for you who want to develop in a leadership role and who have both experience and knowledge to drive a team forward. You thrive in a high and changing pace and find it easy to prioritize when many tasks are ongoing simultaneously.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Forklift license A and B
• Good geographical knowledge
• At least upper secondary education or equivalent together with relevant work experience
• Previous experience in leadership – preferably in a similar business
• Good IT skills, especially in the Microsoft Office package
• Class B driver's license

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Transport education
• Leadership education
• Occupational health and safety education, e.g., BAM or equivalent
• Class C or CE driver's license
