About the Operations

Västernorrland is one of five regions in the country that, on behalf of the National Board of Health and Welfare, provides National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for severe eating disorders. We offer high-intensity treatment for individuals over 18 years of age, based on many years of experience in eating disorder care.

The purpose of concentrating this care is to enable the provider to maintain competence across the entire multidisciplinary team and to have the opportunity to develop and maintain high quality care without limiting accessibility. NHV collaborates closely with other operations within the county's psychiatric services in Västernorrland County.

We are now looking for three nursing assistants to join our team! We can offer three temporary positions, full-time, during the following periods:

• 2026-09-01 to 2027-03-01
• 2026-10-01 to 2027-04-01
• 2026-08-17 to 2027-06-17

Job Responsibilities

The work as a nursing assistant/caregiver with us includes, in addition to psychiatric nursing care, the following:

• Assessments
• Observations
• Conversations
• Rating scales
• Sampling

Collaboration with other stakeholders, such as family, social services, housing, and outpatient care facilities, is an important part of the job. We place great emphasis on both teamwork and the ability to work individually as a contact person. Knowledge development is important in our operations. The work will involve both internal training and collaboration with other NHV units for educational purposes. Regular supervision is also provided.

The position involves working irregular hours, such as evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a nursing assistant
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you

• Have at least five years of experience as a nursing assistant
• Have further education in psychiatry
• Have work experience in psychiatry
• Have training in motivational interviewing
• Hold a B-class driver's license
