About the Client

Konsultia is currently seeking an engaged and technically skilled vehicle mechanic for an exciting assignment with a client in the mining industry. The work is performed underground in a modern mining environment where you will become part of a tight-knit team focused on safety, collaboration, and high quality. In this role, you are responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your Responsibilities

As a vehicle mechanic, you will be responsible for service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of vehicles and machinery used in mining operations. The work is carried out both in an underground workshop environment and out in the production area where field repairs may occur.

You will work on diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and ensuring that vehicles and equipment maintain high operational reliability. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and other functions within the operation to minimize downtime and contribute to safe and efficient production.

The responsibilities include, among other things:

• Service and maintenance of mining vehicles and construction machinery
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Preventive maintenance according to established procedures
• Emergency repairs in the workshop and in the field
• Documentation of completed work in digital systems
• Active work according to current safety routines and occupational health and safety requirements

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest and experience in the service, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles or construction machinery. You are responsible, solution-oriented, and thrive working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. As a person, you have a strong safety mindset and understand the importance of working systematically and following current routines, especially in a demanding underground work environment.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Vocational training in vehicle technology with a focus on heavy vehicles or machinery (meritorious)
• At least 2–3 years of experience in service and maintenance of heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or similar equipment
• Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license
• Forklift and overhead crane training
• Certificate for Hot Work

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience with TechTool troubleshooting for trucks
• Experience with TechTool and Prosis troubleshooting for loaders
• Experience with Serdia and Deutz diagnostic systems
• AC certification/training
• Experience working underground or in a mining environment

The work is scheduled on a 7–7 shift system, meaning you work seven days followed by seven days of leave. Therefore, we would like you to enjoy shift work and have the ability to adapt to this form of work.

Other Information

The position is a full-time temporary assignment starting in August/September. There are possibilities for extension for the right person and if the client's needs arise.
