About the role

As a planer operator, you will work with the operation and monitoring of planing equipment in a production environment. You are responsible for machine setup, continuous monitoring, sampling, and quality assurance of produced components according to the customer's specifications. The work also includes routine maintenance, material preparation, and reporting deviations in the production system.

The assignment is a consultancy role via Lernia with good opportunities for extension or transition to direct employment with the client for the right candidate.

About you

Formal qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience in machining, workshop production, or similar processes. Experience with planing, turning, or milling is an advantage. You have a good sense of quality and finish, as well as the ability to read drawings and follow written instructions. It is important that you can document work and errors in Swedish.

The requirement for the position is a B-driving license and access to a car.

Personal qualities

You are meticulous, responsible, and thrive in both independent work and team collaboration. You have good problem-solving skills, take initiative during operational disruptions, and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. Stress management and flexibility in working hours may occur depending on production needs.

Your main responsibilities

• Set up and monitor planing machines according to production orders
• Perform measurements and quality controls of components
• Material handling, loading and unloading of fixtures/components
• Perform simple preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines
• Report deviations and update the production system

To succeed in the role

We see that you are meticulous, structured, and have a technical interest. Experience working with measuring tools and documentation in production systems is an advantage. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and are accustomed to using mobile devices or tablets for digital reporting.
