Do you want to become our new colleague on Ward 21?

We are now looking for you who want to join our team on Ward 21. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with patients, providing basic care, withdrawal treatments, observations, and documentation. You are part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, and psychologists.

You will also work some shifts at the psychiatric emergency department, which is located directly adjacent to the care ward. The role involves collaboration with several actors, including the municipality's psychiatric services and our psychiatric outpatient clinics. Our operations are characterized by a strong patient focus, high quality and safety, and close cooperation between different professional groups.

About you

You are educated as a nursing assistant or assistant nurse, or have an education that the employer considers equivalent. Previous experience from psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar facilities is advantageous.

The role requires excellent teamwork skills, clear communication, and the ability to provide patients with a low-affective approach. You thrive in a varied work environment, are flexible in your working methods, and adapt easily to changing circumstances. With your commitment and positive attitude, you contribute to a good work climate where we collaborate and support each other.

Your future workplace

Ward 21 is an acute and treatment ward. Patients are primarily treated under the Mental Health Act (LPT), but we also care for patients with substance abuse issues who need care and detoxification. Some patients are also treated on a voluntary basis. You will encounter patients with varying diagnoses, conditions, and needs, making the work varied and developmental.

Last autumn, we moved into the newly built psychiatric building on the hospital campus in Västervik, where we have consolidated all adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry into one building. You will have the opportunity to work in spacious and pleasant premises with staff areas offering beautiful views of the town of Västervik.
