Decontamination Specialist for OKG in Oskarshamn

We are now looking for several dedicated decontamination specialists to join our team at OKG in Oskarshamn. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute to a safe and secure working environment within one of Sweden's most significant industries, while developing in a varied and responsible role.

About the role

As a decontamination specialist at ISS working at OKG, you will become an important part of the operations responsible for maintaining a safe and well-functioning working environment within nuclear technology operations. The work is primarily carried out in controlled areas and involves practical and physical work in varying environments, sometimes at significant heights or in confined spaces. You will work in O1/O2, which is in the decommissioning phase, or in 03, which is in operation.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Performing decontamination and decontamination of equipment, components, and premises
  • Working in accordance with current safety, protection, and radiation protection regulations
  • Performing simple service and maintenance tasks within the facility
  • Contributing to order, tidiness, and continuous improvements in operations
  • Collaborating with other functions and professional groups on site

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a six-month probation period. The work is scheduled during daytime hours and is based at OKG in Oskarshamn.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good physical fitness as the work is physically demanding
  • Ability to follow instructions and work according to safety regulations

Merits

  • Experience in decontamination work or similar tasks
  • Experience from industrial operations
  • Experience from nuclear technology operations
  • Overhead crane training (KIKA)
  • §7 Radiation Protection
  • Forklift license
  • Platform lift training
  • Fall protection training or other relevant safety training

For employment, an approved security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required.
