Folktandvården Norrbotten's primary task is to provide the county's children and adults with safe, modern, and high-quality dental care, and to ensure specialist dental care for the entire population of the county. Achieving better oral health is the foundation of all dental care, and within Folktandvården, we work with child and adolescent dental care, adult dental care, outreach oral health assessments, hospital dental care, and specialist dental care. The Dental Competence Centre (TKC) is Norrbotten County's organization for specialist dental care. Most of our operations are concentrated in shared premises in Luleå city center, Norra Hamn. All dental specialties are represented here. Both children and adults with complex and special care needs are treated at TKC. The staff at TKC also participate in the education of future dental personnel and invest in patient-oriented research.

We are looking for you who are a licensed dental hygienist with a particular interest in periodontology. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with others, can work independently, are quality-conscious, and can adapt to new challenges and tasks. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as empathy, customer service, communication skills, and the desire to continue developing.

Here is what you will work with

At the departments for periodontology and orofacial medicine, there are 4 specialist dentists, 2 dental hygienists, and 5 dental nurses. The departments receive patients via referral for investigation and treatment. An important part of the operations is to act as consultants for general dentistry within public dental care and private healthcare providers. The departments have close cooperation with other specialties within the Dental Competence Centre and the maxillofacial surgery unit at Sunderby Hospital. We also collaborate with health and social care. At the periodontology department, patients with various forms of periodontitis and peri-implantitis are treated. OFM receives adult patients who need special support due to disabilities and various medical conditions. In addition to clinical operations, we provide continuing education for dental personnel. We also receive students from all professional categories.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime hours. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
