Do you want to work in a vital public service and contribute to a sustainable and pleasant environment in Arvika Municipality? Teknik i Väst is now looking for two waste collection workers – one for sludge emptying and one for general waste collection.

Teknik i Väst is a municipal company responsible for waste management, water and sewage (VA), and recycling in Arvika. We work closely with residents to create a clean and sustainable living environment. You will be stationed at our waste facility on Mosseberg, where you will always start your working day.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of waste collection worker, we require that you have:

• Category C driving license and a valid YKB certificate (required for general waste collection).
• Category CE driving license (required for sludge emptying).
• Completed upper secondary education.
• Good computer skills.
• Good proficiency in both Swedish and English, in speaking and writing.
• Good physical fitness and enjoy active outdoor work.
• A genuine interest in technology and vehicles.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience with:

• Sludge or waste collection work.

To thrive in the role, we see that you are responsible and service-oriented, can work independently and take initiative. You have a consistent and risk-aware mindset and are meticulous. You have good communication skills and collaborate easily with others.

Responsibilities

The role of waste collection worker includes the following tasks:

Waste Collection Worker – Sludge Emptying

• You work with emptying individual sewage systems and sludge wells. The work is carried out with special vehicles and involves customer contact as well as responsibility for ensuring the work is performed safely and correctly.

Waste Collection Worker – General Waste Collection

• You work with the collection of household waste and recyclable materials. The work involves driving garbage trucks and handling bins and containers.

Employment
