Occupational Therapist for Vintersol

About the Employer

Clinica Vintersol is a rehabilitation facility located in southern Tenerife, primarily designed for individuals with neurological and rheumatological diseases, as well as psoriasis.

We have 71 rooms with up to 100 beds for inpatients, as well as an outpatient clinic serving approximately 40–50 patients daily during the winter season. Most patients suffer from neurological or rheumatic conditions.

Our patients come mainly from Norway or Sweden. The Norwegian patients are funded by the Norwegian Rikshospitalet, but we also treat patients of other nationalities, including Spanish, German, English, and Italian.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least three years of experience as an occupational therapist.
• Is interested in the aforementioned diagnostic groups.
• Can work independently and takes initiative.
• Is accustomed to working in a team with other staff groups.
• Can support patients in taking responsibility for their own rehabilitation.
• Is interested in leading diagnostic-focused information sessions for patients.
• Is computer literate and experienced in keeping electronic patient records.
• Sees the charm in living and working in a different culture.
• Is stress-resistant and can handle a sometimes high workload.
• Is service-oriented and has a positive attitude.
• Is flexible and problem-solving oriented.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with previous experience in rehabilitation and/or outpatient work. Knowledge of the Spanish language is important and an advantage, but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, proven organizational skills, flexibility, positivity, and a high stress tolerance.

Other Details

• The position is fixed-term with a minimum duration of 8 months, with the possibility of re-employment for future seasons.
• Salary: Approximately 27,000 EUR gross/year for a full-time position.
• Free meals are included during working hours and are not subject to benefit taxation.
• You will be employed by a Spanish company, and taxes and social security contributions will be deducted from your salary.
• We assist with housing acquisition if desired.
• Working hours: 40 hours per week according to a fixed schedule (daytime).
• Start date: September 21, 2026.
