DISAB is now looking for a Welder/Fitter for the production in Vallentuna. Here you will have a varied daily routine where you combine welding and assembly in various projects and follow the product through large parts of the manufacturing process. You will become an important part of the manufacturing of advanced industrial systems used by customers around the world.

Responsibilities

At DISAB, you will become part of the production where you build industrial vacuum systems and suction units for demanding environments worldwide. When an order reaches production, you take over and are responsible for completing the product according to drawings, quality requirements, and customer specifications. In the role, you will work approximately 50 percent on welding and 50 percent on assembly.

The welding work mainly involves adaptations and completions of components delivered from subcontractors, while the assembly work involves building and finishing the machines. Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • MIG/MAG welding of parts and components.
  • Interpretation of drawings and simple welding drawings.
  • Adaptations, reinforcements, and quality controls of welded structures.
  • Assembly of motors, pumps, and vacuum systems.
  • Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
  • Simple electrical installations and cable routing according to drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Testing, adjustment, and finishing of machines prior to delivery.

You will work closely with your colleagues in production and be involved through large parts of the manufacturing process. Here you will get a job where no day is exactly like the other, and where your craftsmanship makes a real difference to the final product.

We are looking for you who

Have experience with welding and a strong interest in mechanical work. You might work as a welder today but want a more varied daily routine, or you have experience from workshops, vehicles, or industry where both welding and assembly have been a natural part of the work.

To succeed in the role, you need to feel confident with MIG/MAG welding and have good tool skills. You do not need to be a certified welder, but you must be able to read drawings, understand welding instructions, and independently perform welding work with good quality.

Requirements:

  • Category B driver's license
  • Experience with MIG/MAG welding
  • Experience with mechanical work or assembly
  • Ability to read and follow drawings
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and/or English

Merits:

  • Category C driver's license
  • Forklift license
  • Crane license
  • Experience from automotive, industrial, or workshop environments
