Mechanic at Nobina Södertörn

Nobina is the largest and most experienced operator in public transport in the Nordic region. We are now looking for new mechanic colleagues for the Södertörn traffic area who can maintain order and ensure our buses run safely. Being a mechanic at Nobina is more than just a job – it is an exciting and varied career with ample opportunities for personal growth.

What does it mean to be a mechanic at Nobina?

Nobina is an innovative company and was an early adopter of electrification. We introduced autonomous buses in regular traffic and were the first in the Nordics to operate 24-meter double-articulated buses for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

You will perform services, repairs, and troubleshooting on our buses. Tasks such as wrapping, body repairs, and interior repairs are also part of the role. Here, you are part of pioneering solutions, ranging from on-demand services to advanced sustainability technology, including biofuels and electrified traffic. In some regions, shift work is available to ensure traffic delivery.

Personal qualities and qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you handle stressful situations and environments with calm and confidence. You are outgoing, flexible, and value collaboration with colleagues, but also thrive when working independently when required. To work as a mechanic with us, you need:

• A vehicle technology education or equivalent experience with heavy vehicles/buses.
• Computer literacy to handle diagnostic programs, digital work orders, and maintenance instructions.
• A valid car driver's license (Category B).

Having a C or D driver's license and an AC certificate is a bonus. As fossil fuels are phased out in favor of electricity and biofuels, electrification brings new challenges to workshops. Experience with modern technology and electric vehicles is therefore a significant plus!

About the position

The position is full-time with a location in Handen/Jordbro. We apply a probationary period and individual salary setting.
