Do you want to work outdoors and have experience with park and green area maintenance?

We are now looking for park workers for our substitute pool in Eskilstuna.

As a substitute, you will be a valuable resource when needs arise, for example during sickness, holidays, peak work periods, or shorter assignments. This means that the work can vary in scope from single days to longer periods, depending on the municipality's needs and your availability.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and able to step in with short notice when needed.

Job Responsibilities

As a park worker, you may be involved in tasks such as:

• Mowing grass and edging
• Cleaning green areas and public spaces
• Maintenance of playgrounds
• Simple vegetation measures
• Irrigation of green areas
• Shoveling and maintenance of gravel areas
• Handling machinery such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other simple tools

We are looking for someone who has

• At least one summer season of experience in park work, gardening, or equivalent experience
• A valid B-category driver's license
• Good familiarity with handling relevant machinery, such as lawn mowers and trimmers
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Certificate for Work on the Road (Arbete på väg), APV 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3

Do you lack the APV certificate? You can easily obtain it by booking an online course with providers such as Kompetensutveckla.se or Utbildning.se. You can complete the training remotely in one day and use it in many different contexts.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience working in municipal park operations
• Experience with reporting and simple planning
• Familiarity with workwear, safety equipment, and safe work routines
• Ability to work with short notice

Working Hours and Setup

The work is primarily carried out on weekdays between 07:00 and 16:00. In some cases, work may also take place in the evenings or on weekends, with special compensation.

This is a position in our substitute pool, which means you will be contacted when needs arise. You can specify your own availability and accept shifts that suit you.
