You will work within the Employment Unit, which is organized under the Municipal Executive Board Administration in Åstorp Municipality. The unit's operational goal is to offer meaningful employment and to help participants transition to the open labor market or into education.
Job Responsibilities
Do you want to be part of our development of important initiatives for people establishing themselves on the labor market within the framework of the upcoming activity requirement?
As a Work Supervisor (Arbetshandledare), you work closely with participants who need support, structure, and guidance to strengthen their path toward work or studies. The work is practical and takes place largely in outdoor environments, where you supervise participants in various tasks. You also contribute to creating motivation, team spirit, and personal development.
Responsibilities include among other things:
- Practical supervision of participants in outdoor work, such as clearing, simple maintenance, and other practical tasks.
- Planning, organizing, and leading daily work.
- Supporting participants in developing work-life skills, routines, and responsibility.
- Documentation, follow-up, and reporting on participant progress.
- Collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders regarding participant development.
- Responsibility for tools, vehicles, and safety in practical work.
You must be able to motivate and lead both individuals and groups, and adapt your working methods based on participants' different needs and conditions. We are looking for someone who is confident, solution-focused, and has a genuine interest in people and labor market issues.

You are a driven and positive person who enjoys practical work and has an easy time building trusting relationships. You have a coaching and inclusive approach and are motivated by supporting people in their development.
You are flexible, responsible, and can work both independently and in a team. You have the ability to create structure in daily life and maintain calm even when work changes quickly.
We would prefer that you have experience with practical outdoor work and feel comfortable supervising others in practical tasks. Speaking multiple languages is a plus.
Personal suitability is highly valued. The tasks may change and develop over time based on the needs of the operations.
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education with a relevant focus or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in practical outdoor work, maintenance, or similar activities.
- Experience in supervising, supporting, or leading people.
- Brush cutter and/or chainsaw certification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of society and local area, and understanding of labor market issues.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
- Ability to work in a structured, independent, and solution-focused manner.
- Category B driver's license is required.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft 365.
- Multilingualism is an advantage.

Additional Information
The employment begins with a six-month probationary period.
