The Operations Department in Sunderbyn is one of the largest workplaces in the county. Here, operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, assistant nurses, and various specialist doctors work in teams centered around the patient.

We are now looking for you who are a basic-trained nurse and wish to further your studies to become an operating room nurse! We are looking for you who are interested in developing your profession and have a strong interest in increasing your knowledge of surgical care!

We are looking for

You who are a registered nurse with eligibility to apply for specialist training in surgical care. Experience is meritorious but not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You see service and flexibility as a matter of course and have a sense of order and structure. You have a feel for teamwork and the ability to build good relationships and handle stressful situations.

What you will work with

Working in the operating room is exciting and educational. As a trainee, the intention is that you will get a close insight into the work of an operating room nurse.

You will go through a program where the focus is to gain deeper insight into the profession. This includes some theory in the following areas: hygiene, patient safety, work in the sterile supply department, handling of instruments, operating tables, medical technical equipment, and an overview of the different types of procedures that occur within the various surgical specialties. The trainee period transitions (if desired) into employment with us based on your acquired competence.

Information about the position

The position is a fixed-term employment with the possibility of permanent full-time employment. Start date autumn 2026 or as agreed. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
