Schunk Carbon Technology AB is the Schunk Group's production and marketing company for the Nordic market. The operations are concentrated in Lenhovda, Småland, northeast of Växjö. The company has a turnover of approximately 150 million SEK and employs 30 people.
In Lenhovda, Schunk manufactures and maintains current collectors for trains and other electrified vehicles – products that play a key role in future sustainable transport solutions.

We are currently looking for a manual welder and a robot operator/welder who want to become part of our team. This is a direct employment position with Schunk Carbon Technology AB, and the recruitment is conducted in cooperation with OnePartnerGroup.
What do the roles involve?
Welder
As a manual welder with us, you will perform qualified welding of components for current collectors. The focus is primarily on MIG/MAG welding, but TIG welding is also used. You will work according to drawings and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and play a vital role in ensuring high quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing of components for current collectors
- MIG/MAG and TIG welding, primarily in carbon steel and stainless steel, with aluminum also occurring
- Work according to drawings and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)
- Post-processing such as grinding and cleaning
Robot Operator
As a robot operator, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of a welding robot cell. The role is combined with manual welding work as needed, providing a varied daily routine involving technology, quality, and practical work.
Responsibilities:
- Operation (loading/unloading) and monitoring
- Inspection, ongoing quality control, documentation of self-inspections, and improvement work in close collaboration with production and quality assurance.
- Post-processing such as repair welding (manual), grinding, and cleaning
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and thrives in a production environment where quality and collaboration are the focus. As a person, you are self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable with both independent responsibility and close teamwork.
For the Welder role, we prefer that you have:
- Basic workshop education or equivalent practical experience
- At least two years of experience in advanced manual welding within the workshop industry
- Experience with MIG/MAG/TIG welding
- Good understanding of reading drawings and measurement techniques
For the Robot Operator role, we prefer that you have:
- Basic workshop education or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in welding
- Experience as an operator, preferably in automated welding
Additional qualifications for both positions:
- Forklift and overhead crane licenses
- Welding licenses (welder qualification certificates) or experience working according to EN 15085 and/or ISO 3834
