NG Nordic Sweden AB has recently launched a high-tech sorting facility in the Norrsundet harbor area north of Gävle. The facility further processes the metals recycled within the company. We are now looking for more employees to step up production.
Introduction
As an environmental/industrial worker, you will be a vital cog in the company's facility in Norrsundet. We offer varied work alongside a small group of other competent colleagues. You will have the opportunity to work close to the production facility, where your efforts are crucial to ensuring the process runs efficiently and meets the company's set requirements. You will serve as a key person, expected to maintain high presence in production with a strong safety mindset, contributing with drive, openness, and a holistic view.
In the role of environmental/industrial worker, you will be involved in the entire production process from A to Z, operate forklifts and wheel loaders, monitor the production facility, conduct rounds, quality test materials, and ensure production runs as smoothly as possible. You will also need to perform maintenance on process equipment to ensure a reliable process in the company's production facility and associated machinery. Independent work may also occur.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate daily operations
- Process monitoring
- Manual picking and sorting of materials
- Maintenance, preventive, and ongoing maintenance of process equipment and vehicles
- Initiate and implement improvement activities
- Troubleshooting, cleaning, tidying, and corrective actions at the facility
- Act as a maintenance resource in the production facility
- Control and measurement of materials to ensure quality
- Daily rounds
- Operate wheel loaders and forklifts safely
- Machinery and vehicle care
- Participate in occupational health and safety work
- Report daily production data and observations
- Documentation and reporting of completed work.
- Other occurring and business-necessary tasks
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are driven and motivated by being an important part of daily operations. You have previous experience from process industry or as an industrial mechanic. Other work experience in industry and process or technical education may also be relevant for the position. You have the ability to analyze and solve technical problems. It is important to be meticulous, proactive, and have the ability to solve situations that arise daily. You need to be flexible when unexpected situations arise and it should not be foreign to take charge of things directly when they occur.
You also have/are:
- Understanding and interest in using digital support systems required to document and report work in accordance with the business system
- A high safety mindset and understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe workplace
- A team player with a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and enjoys taking responsibility
- Good communication skills, fluent in Swedish in speech and writing, and basic knowledge of English
- Category B driver's license
For the position, the following are considered meritorious:
- Machine operator experience
- Wheel loader training
- Forklift license
- Welding skills, experience with maintenance and mechanical work
- Knowledge to interpret and understand process flows and maintenance instructions
- Used maintenance and reporting systems, e.g., Maximo
- Experience and habit of documenting, reporting, and following up on work
- Hot work certification
- Other relevant education or courses in safety and occupational health
- Other post-secondary education
Working Hours: 3-shift system (morning, evening, night/weekend). On-call duty may occur later.
Start Date: As soon as possible and by agreement. Probation period applies.
