We are looking for a robotic welder for a temporary assignment with our client in the heavy engineering industry in Ljungby. The company specializes in the automatic welding of large steel components and utilizes modern robot cells to handle high production volumes and ensure quality. You will be employed by us as a consultant and work on-site at the client's premises, with the possibility of permanent employment with the client after the consulting period.

Job Description

As a robotic welder, you will monitor and operate welding robots, including setting up components in fixtures and initiating robot programs. You are responsible for setting up the robot cell according to the production plan, monitoring the welding process, and making adjustments as needed to ensure high quality of the weld seams. The role also includes manual welding (MIG/MAG) when necessary, such as for tack welding or finishing work on larger components. You perform self-inspection of the welds and ensure they meet the client's quality requirements. Reading drawings and understanding welding symbols are crucial tasks, both for interpreting instructions and for simpler robot programming. The role may also involve maintaining the robot cell and collaborating with production engineers to optimize welding processes.

We are looking for you who

• Have practical experience in MIG/MAG welding. You are a certified MIG/MAG welder with a valid welding qualification according to ISO 9606-1 (steel).
• Have experience with robotic welding: You have previously worked as a robot operator, or alternatively as an advanced machine operator with welding skills. You understand how a robot cell works, can handle basic programming or adaptation of robot programs, and have an interest in industrial automation.
• Can read drawings and possess technical understanding: Ability to read and work according to welding drawings (including welding symbols) and work instructions. Technical knowledge and problem-solving skills are important for managing the robot's settings and resolving any operational disruptions.
• Have material and quality knowledge: Accustomed to working with heavy steel materials and understanding welding parameters for thicker sections. You are quality-conscious and experienced in performing visual inspections of welds.
• Language: You have good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with colleagues and follow safety procedures.

Merits:

• Robot system knowledge: Experience with specific robot systems is highly meritorious – e.g., programming or courses in robotics.
• Broad welding competence: Skills in manual welding using multiple methods (e.g., TIG or MMA) as well as understanding of industrial automation processes.
• Handling of heavy components: Overhead crane and forklift licenses are appreciated as the work involves larger components that require movement with lifting equipment.
• Education: Industrial technical education, preferably with a focus on welding/automation.
