About the position
At Olivia, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for our male client in Borås. The position involves working days and evenings with on-call overnight shifts. The workload is approximately 30 hours per week, distributed over 3 shifts per week.
We are also looking for you who want to work as a substitute when needed. The possibility to work during the summer of 2026 is a merit.
The working hours on weekdays are as follows:
- 07:25–18:25
- 18:25–07:25 (waiting time 5.88 hours)
Start date is by agreement, and we would like you to be able to start the introduction immediately.
About the client
The client is a man in his 60s. He needs your help as an assistant in his daily life due to symptoms from the disease MS. He is highly sensitive to infections, which means that high hygiene standards are crucial – both for you as an assistant and in the home.
The client's interests include plants, gym training, going to the cinema, meditating, writing, listening to music, and participating in cultural events.
The tasks are as follows:
- Support in daily routines and household chores
- Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals
- Practical support in the home and in daily activities
- Mobility assistance
- Medication management
Are you the person the client is looking for?
We are looking for you who meet other people in daily life with care, commitment, and sensitivity. You are a person who is happy to take the initiative when needed, but who also has the ability to pause, listen, and be present. You easily put yourself in others' life situations and meet people with respect and empathy.
As an assistant, you need to have a calm demeanor, be able to take the initiative, and have a good sense of order. You have a natural social skill and good patience. You are empathetic and have a fine sense for when it is right to take your own initiatives and when it is best to take a more waiting role.
Requirements:
- Smoke-free during working hours
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Physical strength as manual transfers occur
- Professional experience working as a personal assistant or within care and social services
Employment level: 1 position at 75 % and 1 hourly substitute position.
Start date: Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.
From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply, meaning that the background check includes extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be placed in good time.

Things to consider before applying:

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.
