Aviator Airport Services is currently hiring airport staff for Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.

Are you curious about what happens behind the scenes at the airport? Do you want to contribute to ensuring flights depart on time? Are you someone who enjoys physical work?

Aviator is currently recruiting several aircraft loaders who will be part of the operational team responsible for activities surrounding aircraft arrivals and departures. We offer permanent full-time employment (100%) with an initial six-month probationary period, as well as temporary positions (75-100%) during the summer, with training starting in March and ongoing throughout the spring.

As an aircraft loader, you will join our ramp service department, where we ensure that passenger baggage is loaded, transported, and unloaded within specified timeframes in a safe and service-oriented manner. By following airline-specific procedures, you prioritize our customers' and their passengers' needs in everything you do, always with safety as the main focus.

As an aircraft loader, you are responsible for:

🛫 Loading and unloading baggage and cargo in aircraft
🛫 Performing transport operations on the ramp
🛫 Sorting baggage
🛫 Applying and following airline rules and routines
🛫 Performing other ramp services according to customer requests, such as aircraft heating, power supply, engine start-up, etc.

To thrive and succeed in the role of an aircraft loader, you need to be service-oriented and accustomed to using your body as your primary tool.

You are a flexible and communicative person, a team player, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

The job requires you to be meticulous, safety-conscious, and take responsibility for following guidelines and routines even when the pace is high.

Qualifications for the role:

  • You must be willing and able to work various shifts and be able to travel to and from the airport at any time of day or night.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must hold a valid driver's license (Class B).
  • You must be in good health and possess good physical fitness.
  • You must have good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish.
  • You must have completed upper secondary education or equivalent with passing grades.
  • You must have a clean criminal record.
  • You must have good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you also:

  • Have previous experience on the ramp, in service, or in a security-classified profession.
  • Have previously worked shifts and/or early mornings.

Requirements during the recruitment process

Since this role is performed in a security-classified area, you must undergo a security clearance during the recruitment process:

  • Extract from the criminal register without any remarks.
  • Approved registry check from the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen).
  • Approved security clearance interview.
  • Certificates verifying your employment over the last 5 years. Copies of certificates, grades, employment references, etc., will need to be submitted during the recruitment process.
  • At least two references.

Good to know: Of course, we ensure you receive an introductory training program during your first few weeks. The training combines theoretical and practical elements so you can get up to speed for your role as an aircraft loader.

The position of aircraft loader requires shift work. This means you will have varying working hours, with shifts that may start at 05:00 or late in the evening/night, both on weekdays and weekends. You must therefore always be able to travel to and from the airport regardless of the time of day.
