Work as a Bus Driver in Stockholm – More Than Just Driving

We are currently recruiting several full-time and part-time bus drivers for our school and on-demand traffic in Stockholm.

• Tunnel driving based on continuity: daytime, Monday to Friday

Job Responsibilities

You will start your career at Bergkvara with our fixed assignments, which can vary from driving to places where you must be able to turn on a dime to driving tunnel traffic, where the speed is max 20 km/h. You may also drive replacement traffic or evacuation traffic, which can be time-limited.

In school transport, you are the safe and secure driver who ensures that both children and their parents can trust that the journey to and from school happens in the best possible way.

Once you have settled in, you can occasionally alternate with charter tours. Here you will meet a variety of groups often heading for an exciting excursion. These assignments are highly varied, and no two trips are alike. It involves different destinations and assignments, but also different groups of people.

You do not just drive the bus; you ensure it is in good condition both before and after driving, which means you clean and wash it so that all trips are as pleasant and nice as possible. We take responsibility for the whole picture, simply put.

Qualifications

To succeed as a bus driver with us, you have:

• Formal education in bus driving (Category D license and YKB)
• Driven a bus during the last 5-year period
• Experience driving a bus in Stockholm County
• Good ability to understand and express yourself in Swedish, especially orally

As a person, you are service-oriented, accommodating, agile, and constructive. You enjoy meeting new people, big and small, and easily adapt your way of expressing yourself and relating to them.

Naturally, you are a safe driver with good judgment, as critical situations may arise where you need to react quickly. Fundamentally, you are a calm, secure, and stable person who treats others in a respectful and professional manner. You make others feel welcome, well-cared for, and safe.

Following rules and routines, being meticulous, and striving to develop and improve both your own competence and contribute to the overall quality and results of the operation are crucial.
