At the Business Support Department, we support other operations to help us collectively achieve the goals of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). We do this by delivering support in areas such as office services, procurement, scanning, registration, archival law, general case handling support, and archiving.

Archival Law, Expert Support, and Digital Preservation

As an archivist, you will contribute to the management and standardization of information management and archival issues within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. The work is primarily focused on the management of digital business information, and you will, among other things, work on developing disposal and preservation studies that form the basis for rule-setting in IT support and e-archives.

You will participate in developing governing and supporting documents and serve as expert support to the operations. The role also involves monitoring strategic information management issues and participating in projects as a subject matter expert. We also conduct our own development within information governance and digital preservation.

You will become part of a workgroup consisting of approximately 20 archivists. Much of the work is done in collaboration with one or more colleagues and in cooperation with the operations. As an archivist, you will handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for you who

• have a university degree in a relevant subject area, with at least 40-60 ECTS credits in archival science including a C-level thesis, or equivalent competence acquired through several years of work experience in similar work corresponding to at least 3 years of university education
• have excellent analytical skills and a structured way of working
• are proactive and can plan and drive your own work
• quickly get up to speed with new tasks
• have good verbal and written communication skills
• work independently while also being good at collaborating and building good relationships.

It is an advantage if you

• have previous experience of working with digital preservation and e-archives, preferably at a government agency
• have knowledge of the basics of system development, administration, and decommissioning
• have knowledge of relevant legislation concerning the processing of personal data
• have knowledge of handling security-protected classified information.

4 positions, permanent, full-time, with start date according to agreement. Probationary employment may apply. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. The possibility of remote work exists if the work allows.
