JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a park worker in our organization and create the future of service together with us!

You will be placed within the Park Unit, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's green areas and park land.

Responsibilities

The work is varied and creative in Karlskrona municipality's different outdoor environments! As an employee in the Street/Park department, you will help create a sustainable and green future for Karlskrona. Your work leads to comfort and recreational opportunities for everyone living in and visiting Karlskrona.

Your tasks include daily operations within the assigned area of responsibility, maintenance of green areas and park land. You will be part of a work team while also working independently at times.

You will also be part of the municipality's preparedness for streets and roads, both in winter and summer. Work in other teams within the street/park department may also be relevant during certain periods.

Together with your colleagues, you will be the department's face to the public as you carry out your daily work among the residents and visitors of Karlskrona, contributing to the goal of an Attractive Karlskrona. You are a good ambassador for the department, and we have high expectations of your service mindset and flexibility in meeting others.

The digitization of the area will be a focus in the coming years, so we expect you to have good IT skills and be able to handle the most common programs in your work. You can embrace development in the IT field and have a good ability to learn new working methods. You are flexible in your work with long-term planning and see the whole picture in your assignment. Good judgment and safety awareness are important. For the tasks, it is required that you are responsible, have a genuine interest in the business, and can work both independently and together with others in various contexts.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Horticulture education or experience
• At least two years of horticulture education or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Green area machinery
• Experience in handling green area machinery and machine knowledge.
• Chainsaw A
• Brush cutter RA
• Driving license B
• Chainsaw B
• It is an advantage if you have a driving license C and other driving license qualifications
• Work on the road
• Arborist training

Experience

Experience in park work from previous employment.
