The Medical Center is part of Norrland University Hospital and is one of the largest clinics in the region with over 300 employees. We are engaged in exciting development work aimed at influencing and developing the future of healthcare in the field of internal medicine. Our operations cover a large part of the internal medicine field: emergency medicine, gastroenterology, lung and allergy medicine, endocrinology and diabetes, as well as nephrology.

At the medical outpatient clinic, which is part of the Medical Center's outpatient care, we care for patients with various internal medical diseases. Working as a medical foot care specialist at the medical outpatient clinic means playing an important and central role for patients and their care. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a foot care specialist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. All our work is characterized by person-centered care where you are passionate about the personal meeting with the patient. You are a proud ambassador for the Medical Center's values: together, safe, knowledge-driven & proactive.

You have the ability to create security for the patient and provide person-centered care where the patient is always at the center. In your role as one of four medical foot care specialists, you are an integral part of the diabetes team together with your colleagues from other professions such as doctors, diabetes nurses, social workers, and dietitians.

As a medical foot care specialist, you provide individual medical foot care to our patients based on established criteria within the groups of diabetes, rheumatology, and amyloidosis. You also have contact with other stakeholders regarding the patients such as home healthcare, health centers, municipal housing, and other clinics within the hospital. We have an established collaboration in a multidisciplinary foot team around patients with foot ulcers together with orthopedic doctors and orthopedic technicians.

The Medical Center in Umeå has great expertise in highly specialized care, and you participate in development work that will contribute to the future of healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical foot care specialist/therapist with a completed degree and also trained as a nursing assistant. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a work certificate that allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033.

As a person, you are service-oriented, responsible, and thrive in an environment with varied tasks and changing intensity. You are skilled at working independently while also being able to collaborate easily with others. You are good at organizing and structuring both your time and your tasks.
