How much can foot health affect people's daily lives? More than one might think. With the right treatment and advice, pain can decrease, mobility can improve, and quality of life can increase.

We are now looking for two foot care specialists who want to contribute to just that. With us, you will work closely with people and make a real difference – while becoming part of a team where we support each other and develop the business together. Skellefteå Municipality's foot care service is aimed at individuals with retirement pensions or at least 75 percent disability benefits. Our facilities are often located in direct connection to the municipality's care and nursing homes. The workgroup consists of dedicated foot care specialists who together create a work environment filled with joy and close collaboration.

Welcome to become a part of our team.

YOUR ROLE

As a foot care specialist, you will work with medical foot care and contribute to preventing, treating, and alleviating foot problems for the individuals we meet in the service. Through treatments, advice, and support in self-care, you help people maintain their mobility and quality of life.

You will work independently in meetings with individuals and are responsible for planning and implementing treatments based on individual needs. The role also includes sharing your knowledge with staff in the services, for example through information and advice during workplace meetings. Administrative tasks are part of the job, such as scheduling appointments, purchasing, and documentation.

Each foot care specialist is responsible for two to three care and nursing homes. Together in the workgroup, you will drive development work and contribute to strengthening knowledge about foot health in the services. Working hours are during the day with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your workday based on the needs of the service and individuals.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who has an approved education in medical foot care. If you have experience working as a foot care specialist, we consider that an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have a nursing assistant education or experience working with individuals with dementia or other disabilities. You need to be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the job involves contact with individuals in the service, collaboration with colleagues, and documentation. Since the job includes administrative tasks, you need to have some digital competence and be comfortable using operational systems for scheduling and documentation.

To thrive in the role, you are responsible and work in a structured manner. You plan and organize your work well, so that treatments, bookings, and documentation are carried out clearly and efficiently. You work independently in meetings with individuals and take responsibility for your assignment. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate with others. You are eager to take initiative in meetings with people and have a natural ability to create trusting relationships. You contribute to an open and unpretentious collaboration where you together find good solutions in everyday life. When situations change, you have a solution-oriented approach and can quickly find ways forward. We also see that you are curious and open to new ways of working and are happy to contribute ideas that can develop the service. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The position is subject to a requirement for a criminal record extract according to law. Before a potential job offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly individuals or individuals with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The foot care service is part of the care and nursing in Skellefteå Municipality. Here we work together to ensure that people can live as independently and well as possible. You will become part of a dedicated team where colleagues support each other and share both knowledge and experiences. At the same time, you will have an independent job where you have great opportunities to plan and take responsibility for your assignment.

As an employee of Skellefteå Municipality, you have access to several benefits, such as wellness grants, occupational health services, and opportunities for professional development. Furthermore, the municipality is a secure and stable employer with good opportunities for career advancement.
