Assistant Nurse for Staffing Pool Elderly Care or Home Care - Summer Temporary Position

Description

We are looking for assistant nurses for summer temporary positions in our staffing pool. Fixed schedule with work during the day, evening, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking summer substitutes for our assistant nurse pool who will either work at our four elderly care facilities or within our six home care groups. The assignment involves substituting for staff who are absent for various reasons. You may also be an extra resource as needed within any of the units. You should enjoy the variety of different workplaces, starting your morning at one unit and being somewhere else in the afternoon.

Working in our assistant nurse pool requires high demands for flexibility, responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.

We expect you to perform care and service tasks, respond to alarms, etc., either in elderly care facilities or within home care. Job responsibilities also include performing health and medical tasks delegated by licensed healthcare professionals such as district nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, according to healthcare legislation. Your work is based on a person-centered and rehabilitative approach with the individual's self-determination in focus. You will work in teams with various professional roles to provide users with the best possible support based on their needs and circumstances.

Documentation is an important task, and you are responsible for documenting events concerning the user in social documentation according to applicable legislation. This means you must express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have computer skills. Documentation is done in LifeCare.

You will have a fixed schedule with work 2 out of 5 weekends, and the pool is booked by the staffing unit. The assignment requires flexibility, both to be able to be at several different workplaces and also to some extent be able to do shift changes based on the needs of the operation. For this flexibility for shift changes, a salary supplement of 3000 SEK/month is provided, which compensates for the replacement of work shifts (time shift supplement).

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse with a certificate of protected professional title issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. We prefer that you have previous experience working as an assistant nurse in elderly care.

We expect you to be able to receive delegation and perform many different delegated tasks such as medication handover, insulin, tube feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressings, various catheter-related delegations, and perform training, among other things.

You need to be meticulous, responsible, and easy to work with. You should have a professional attitude. You express yourself well in speech and writing.

You are calm and secure and have the ability to plan the activities of the work shift and can quickly adapt and change interventions based on changing circumstances. You are responsible and can work independently as well as in a group.

A driver's license and a car are required as you need to get to the units where you are booked. Travel during work is compensated through travel reimbursement.

Timrå Municipality applies a smoke-free working time.

Conditions for summer bonus of 6000 SEK.

• You must work continuously for eight weeks during one of these periods, which period will be determined based on the needs of the operation. Weeks 23-30, 24-31, 25-32, or 26-33.
• You may have a maximum of one instance of sick leave for no more than five days.
• It is also required that you work at least 75% during these eight weeks.

Travel Compensation

Travel allowance of 50 SEK is paid for each completed workday, provided that you have worked 10 shifts or more during an eight-week period.
