Young Horse Trainer at Bollerup – An Exciting Maternity Cover!

Now you have the chance to apply for a varied and inspiring full-time position as a young horse trainer in Bollerup's equestrian department.

The position is a maternity cover lasting approximately 1.5 – 2 years and offers a unique opportunity to develop in a dynamic environment with horses and engaged youth.

We are looking for someone who is fearless and has experience in breaking young horses.

You are proactive and self-sufficient, with strong social skills and enjoy teaching and assisting young people. It is an advantage if you are trained as a Hippologist or Rider or have experience in similar tasks.

Your responsibilities:

As a young horse trainer at Bollerup, you will among other things:

• Break young horses and provide them with a well-rounded education.
• Further educate school horses and teach students in training older young horses.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and, if necessary, substitute as a riding instructor.
• Prepare and show horses at Young Horse Tests, Breeders, and Falsterbo.
• Participate in activities at riding camps during the summer.
• Support during the breeding season with handling mares and stallions.

Bollerup Agricultural Institute and Nature Management High School is an independent high school with nature management programs focusing on horses or agriculture. The school is beautifully located in a fantastic scenic environment in the heart of Österlen.

The school's students come from all over Sweden, and many of the students live in the school's boarding facilities. Bollerup has about 100 horses ranging from foals to older school horses. Our stud has a collaboration with Lisen and Peder.
