Gruvrisgården special housing consists of a wonderful team and we are now looking for new colleagues! Gruvrisgården is located at the top of Galgberget and we have 23 apartments. The apartments are distributed over two departments on two different floors, both focused on high care. Our workgroup includes care assistants, nursing assistants, team leaders, and unit managers. Together with the healthcare professionals, we are a great team where we help and learn from each other, all to provide the customer with the best possible care and support. Customer satisfaction is important to us!
The work of the Care Administration is based on a common value base where safety is a central concept in working with the individual customer. In every meeting with the individual, the Care Administration's activities should be characterized by a good response that ensures respect, integrity, self-determination, continuity, and influence for the individual. In Falu Municipality, we have reduced working hours for nursing assistants/care assistants, which means that you will work 36 hours/week at full time.
Job Responsibilities
Working in special housing gives you a concrete opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. The job responsibilities include providing good care and service to our customers. Our customers' needs dictate our tasks and may include assisting with personal care, support during meal situations, service efforts, and social activities. The work involves motivating, supporting, and, if necessary, helping the customer in all everyday situations.
Our mission is to work according to the customer's implementation plan. The implementation plan describes the intervention and how the customer wishes to have the interventions performed; the implementation plan is a tool in the work. The job also includes some administrative tasks, which means that you should be able to document according to specified guidelines and take responsibility for following up on tasks handed over by other colleagues, unit managers, or professionals such as nurses, occupational therapists, or physiotherapists. The work can be both physically and mentally demanding.
Qualifications
The following is required for the role:
- Three-year nursing program from high school or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- Previous experience working in care and support
- Experience using computers and mobile devices in the job
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- Previous experience in administering medications and insulin
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who has a strong interest and commitment to working with people! You need to be resilient, flexible, and have good collaboration skills.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience working in dementia care
- Experience working in healthcare
- Experience working in geriatrics and palliative care
- Experience working with quality tools BPSD & Senior Alert
Employment Conditions
Permanent full-time employment. Falu Municipality applies the full-time agreement, which means that full-time is a right and part-time is an option, so you have the opportunity to influence how much you want to work. You must be able to work according to a set schedule that includes day/evening and weekend shifts. Start date according to agreement.

As of July 1, 2023, the position of nursing assistant became a protected title. Therefore, to be employed as a nursing assistant, a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required. When you present the certificate of protected title, you will receive the position of nursing assistant; until then, you will be employed as a care assistant.
