About the Job

Verdis is responsible for the collection and transportation of household and food waste in Gotland, with Region Gotland as the client and partner. We now need to strengthen the department with several positive and goal-oriented environmental workers with a C driver's license and YKB who can work full-time over the summer (May-September) when it is high season in Gotland.

As an environmental worker, you play a key role within the company. You are Verdis' face to the public and become one of our everyday heroes who help keep Gotland clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management assignment is carried out in accordance with the company's routines and our client's requirements. You report to the management.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Collection and transportation of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting deviations
• Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and superstructures and cleaning them as needed
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop as needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a C driver's license with the associated YKB
• Masters the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles
• Previous experience in some form of waste collection
• Good local knowledge

Start: In May 2026.
Employment type and extent: Fixed-term employment, full-time during the period May-September.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, daytime between 06:00-15:00.
