Our Bakery Manager of over six years is leaving the island and moving to the mainland with his family. We are now looking for you to take over and manage what we have built up and continue the development of Gotland's best craft bakery.
You probably have several years of experience as a craft baker and preferably with experience in similar roles in other bakeries. Alternatively, this is a natural next step in your baking career. Either you already have a connection to or live on Gotland, or you have a strong interest in our beautiful island and a desire to settle down here.
As a baker and colleague, you are a positive, social, and empathetic person with a passion for baking and the bakery. As a leader, you naturally want to move forward and enjoy developing your employees and your workplace. Since we are very seasonal in our operations, it is important to enjoy varied focus and have the ability to plan and work on the development of the business and product range during quiet periods, as well as being able to adapt and thrive during the intense but short high season.
In the role of Bakery Manager, you will be operationally responsible for the main bakery in Klintehamn, where your days throughout the different seasons will consist of a combination of:
-Leading the baking team in daily work, planning, training, and seasonal recruitment
-Continuously developing and reviewing our product range to meet our various customer groups through the different seasons and in our various branches
-Being responsible for the daily production in the main bakery, including planning and production for our various sales outlets, as well as the operation of our small café section in the main bakery in Klintehamn
-Further developing and establishing routines for operations, production planning, and development for and together with the baking team
-In collaboration with the team leaders of the Visby branches, actively working on information sharing regarding the product range and sales to find the right production volumes and product range adaptation
-And of course, baking! In this position, there is a need to both practically bake and produce treats while alternating with more administrative tasks. Even though we have three sales outlets, we are still a relatively small craft bakery with limited volumes during large parts of the year, and then we ramp up quite significantly during the high season.
The position is a permanent full-time position with the possibility of starting relatively soon, but no later than May, so that you have time to get into the business before the most intense season begins and before our current bakery manager leaves.

Like many other companies on the island, we turn the year a bit and mainly conduct vacation leave during the low season. Therefore, the position is particularly suitable for someone who enjoys, for example, winter sports or experiencing warmer continents during the winter. There may also be room for longer leave during the winter if desired.
About Warfsholm Bakery
Warfsholm Bakery is a craft bakery that started in 2018 on the coast half an hour south of Visby on southwestern Gotland, in the center of Klintehamn. Much of our passion revolves around doughs, and we are known for having the best buns on the island and fantastic sourdough bread. We can also proudly say that we won the latest award for Gotland's best semla... The bakery operates year-round with naturally large seasonal variations between the high season in summer and the low season in winter. In between, we have our mid-seasons spring/fall. Since Klintehamn is a relatively small village, at least in the low season, we have chosen to gradually open two additional branches in Visby where the customer base throughout the year is larger with more year-round tourism and also residents. In addition to our three sales outlets, the main bakery also supports our sister company, Warfsholm Pensionat, which is a beautiful and historic hotel and restaurant facility on its own point by the sea in Klintehamn, providing bread and some pastry products. There is also the opportunity for further development of cooperation and production exchange between the bakery and restaurant operations in the future. The number of employees naturally varies throughout the year from about 20 in summer to 8-9 total in winter with different employment levels.
