Pajala Allmänningsskog consists of 73,000 hectares, of which approximately 45,000 hectares are productive forest land. The management

is handled by a board appointed by the shareholders at the annual meeting. For the ongoing operations, we are now looking for a Forest Manager / CEO.

As a forest manager, you are responsible for both the tactical and operational planning of the Common's ongoing land use with its activities within the common lands. The work includes, among other things, ongoing operation of the business, forestry, planning, and inventory. You also have personnel responsibility for other employees within the common, and work with all issues within the common's area such as timber sales, roads, contact with authorities, leasing of hunting and fishing, and contracting entrepreneurs, etc.

You will be acting Forest Manager/CEO and work independently with reporting responsibility to the board.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

Post-secondary higher forestry education, such as a forest engineer, forest manager, or equivalent competence in forestry or land management.

Meritorious

Experience from various areas within the management of larger properties is an important part. Good knowledge of forestry is fundamental, but also experience in negotiations, timber transactions, valuation, management, and planning. Knowledge of the Finnish language.
