We are looking for a craft teacher for Karstorpskolan, a three-parallel F-9 school with about 700 students, located in a residential area in the southeastern part of Lomma. The school consists of several buildings and a fantastic schoolyard that connects the school. The schoolyard is large with varied movement, play, and teaching opportunities. This spring, we will inaugurate our new sports hall and skate park outside.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At Karstorpskolan, we are now looking for an engaged teacher who is passionate about craft and teaching. We are looking for someone who wants to teach both textile craft and wood and metal craft for our students in grades 3-5. We are now seeking a craft teacher for both craft subjects for grades 3-6. You will be part of a team together with our teachers in practical aesthetic subjects and with other teachers in the team for grades 4-6.

• Plan and implement wood and metal craft for grades 3-5 based on our governing documents
• Participate in workplace-based development time and team meetings
• Possibly some mentorship
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in both textile craft and wood and metal craft.
• Introduce students to the craft rooms with a strong focus on safety and work environment.
• Inspire students to develop their own design and believe in their own abilities.
• Collaborate with other colleagues in the team for grades 3-5.

In the role of craft teacher with us, you will have a unique opportunity to follow the students' development in both craft subjects. Since the position is aimed at younger students (grades 3-5), there is a strong focus on introducing tools, materials, and techniques in a playful way.

According to the Education Act, extracts from the police criminal record must be presented by individuals before they are employed in preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare.
