We are looking for full-time staff for work with Police transports

About the job - Transportation and handling of the deceased

When a person passes away, the body must be transported in a dignified and safe manner. This may involve picking up from the place of death to the nearest morgue or transporting to Forensic Medicine for examination.

As a transporter with us, you will be part of the entire chain concerning the handling of the deceased. The work is always done in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You will closely collaborate with the Police Authority, the National Board of Forensic Medicine, municipal homes, external residences, and our own funeral homes.

The working hours are varied, and the workload can fluctuate between high-intensity periods and quieter shifts. The job also involves responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and freedom under responsibility.

Job responsibilities

• Transportation and handling of the deceased
• Coffin placements and assignments for our funeral homes
• Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials
• Collaboration with authorities, healthcare staff, and relatives

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• Category B driver's license (required) and comfortable driving larger vehicles
• Basic computer skills
• No criminal record and not listed in the criminal record register (a check will be conducted in accordance with the Police Authority's requirements)
• Good physical condition and stable mental health as the work can be both physically demanding and mentally challenging

Meritorious

• Experience in transporting the deceased
• Experience from healthcare, care, transport, or other service-oriented operations
