About Water and Environmental Resources

Water and Environmental Resources ensures that you receive fresh drinking water from your tap every day and a clean local environment. We work to make your everyday life function here and now, and to ensure that nature's resources last. We exist so that future generations can also enjoy the mountains, waterways, forests, and land.

The company is owned by the municipalities of Bergs, Bräcke, and Härjedalen. We are responsible for the operation of the water and sewage supply of the owner municipalities, producing and distributing drinking water, as well as managing and treating wastewater. The company is also responsible for the municipalities' waste management, collecting and handling waste and sludge. In total, we have just over 100 employees.

We operate over a large geographical area and have offices in Sveg, Hede, Funäsdalen, Svenstavik, Hackås, and Bräcke, which provides great opportunities to work from different locations. Currently, several major projects are underway, including a significant expansion of municipal water and sewage in Härjedalen. The aim is to ensure a long-term stable operation for the water and sewage supply, with increased environmental requirements and exploitation in tourist areas.

We are now looking for an engaged employee for the operations team within waste and recycling in Härjedalen municipality.

About the Position

As operational staff, you will have a varied workday with several different tasks. You will be part of our team that operates the municipality's recycling centers and recycling stations in Härjedalen municipality. Your main tasks will be to assist our customers by informing and guiding them on how to sort their waste.

You will also be responsible for maintaining our facilities, where working with a loader is a central part of the daily routine. The role also includes digital reporting and some invoicing. Another area of responsibility is the management of the recycling stations in Härjedalen municipality. You will ensure that they are clean, well-organized, snow-cleared, and free of ice for our visitors.

Other tasks include:

  • Construction and repairs, such as erecting fences and container stands.
  • Service and maintenance of collection points and waste containers.
  • Collection of bulky waste, such as refrigerators and freezers, from private individuals who need help transporting this to the recycling center.

Location: Funäsdalen. Scheduled working hours, weekend work may occur.

You will work both independently and together with other colleagues, and as a person, you are a team player. Requirements:

  • Driver's license B
  • Computer skills
  • You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious:

  • Experience operating machinery, such as loaders and/or tractor excavators
  • Previous experience in the industry
