VA Department

Water is our most important food source, and Gotland's water supply is a pressing and current issue. The maintenance unit is part of the VA and waste department.

The VA and waste department works with the development, renewal, and operation of our facilities such as water sources, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pipelines, landfills, and recycling centers. VA works to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply for our subscribers and contributes to Gotland's sustainable development through good planning, prioritization, and engaged employees with significant personal responsibility, within the framework of a good working environment. The organization has long and solid experience, and you will always have the support of the entire VA and waste department. The department consists of about 130 employees who look forward to welcoming you.

The maintenance unit consists of five groups with team leaders, totaling about 30 employees who work with facilities, new production, and maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

As the operational team leader for our electrical workshop, you will be responsible for leading and distributing work among three electricians. You will be the link between the group, projects, and the unit manager.

Your responsibilities include assessing the scope of incoming jobs. The focus is on preparing/investigating conditions before the start of work, planning, and following up on repair work. You work in a results- and goal-oriented manner and also have a limited distribution of occupational safety tasks.

Administrative tasks are included in the position, e.g., invoice management, purchasing of materials, inventory management, maintenance planning, and quality follow-up. Communication with the client from the department's various units with proposals and design of materials and execution of the job.

Reading drawings should be part of your knowledge base. We are facing several exciting challenges in shaping our operations.

As a team leader in the maintenance unit, you will be involved in short-term and long-term planning of water and sewage operations. Occupational safety work is something we prioritize, which includes conducting daily risk analyses.

On-call duty may be included.

Who Are You?

We prefer that you have post-secondary education/university education, or experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. A B driver's license is a requirement, and a BE driver's license is an advantage.

We are looking for someone with experience in a leadership role who enjoys taking responsibility. It is desirable that you have a technical background, for example as an industrial electrician, as well as experience in project work, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault correction. You should have a good ability to implement necessary changes and measures in everything from power installations to relay and PLC-controlled systems.

Knowledge of ElproCad and experience in programming simpler PLC control systems, such as Siemens LOGO, is advantageous.

All communication, both written and oral, is conducted in Swedish.

You have knowledge of economics, are used to working with computer support, and are proficient in the Office suite. You have a good ability to plan, lead, and organize, and you are social and outgoing, as well as solution-focused. We also appreciate a cheerful demeanor, decisiveness, and curiosity.
