About the Business:

The Transport Service Department is a service operation within Vallentuna Municipality. We are a wonderful and dedicated team of over 25 employees. One manager, two transport leaders, one administrator, and vehicle drivers.

We carry out publicly funded trips for school transport and daily activities. The trips take place within the municipality and to and from neighboring municipalities. New from the autumn term are also trips for those who take the school bus. We also have food transports, internal courier trips, other transports, and lighter moving assignments. Our assignment includes several other service tasks for the municipality, such as being responsible for the municipality's furniture storage and vehicles. Our own fleet includes accessible buses (special vehicles), cars, minibuses, light trucks, and a bus for 22 people.

Job Responsibilities:

The main job responsibilities consist of passenger transport to schools as well as care and welfare within the framework of publicly funded trips. This involves daily contact with customers where you are an important piece of the puzzle in creating a good relationship with the customer and providing a safe experience with good service. You will drive all our types of vehicles. We also perform food transports between our operations, courier trips, and various interventions within the municipal area. You are responsible for ensuring that the vehicles you drive give a well-maintained and safe impression (maintenance/cleaning). You are inspired to provide good service, create security for customers and employees, and have the ability to see everyone's equal value.

Qualifications

• Category D driving license with valid YKB (professional competence certificate) for D license is a requirement.
• Good driving experience and a safe driving style.
• You can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in care and welfare or with children or adults with special needs is an advantage.
• Experience in passenger transport is an advantage.
