We are now seeking an engaged melter/caster who wants to be part of the heart of production at our client in Ljungby. Here you will have a central role in the process from scrap to finished steel – a job that requires both precision, planning ability, and close collaboration with colleagues.

About the role
As a melter/caster, you will work in a team with a colleague in the melting shop and be an important part of a cohesive work team in the foundry. The job involves close collaboration with casters, management, and the quality department to ensure that the melting plan is followed with the highest quality and minimal deviation.

Your responsibilities

• Drive the process from scrap to molten steel
• Ensure the condition of the melting furnaces and perform operator maintenance
• Plan the work in the melting shop and report on goal tracking
• Order scrap deliveries and manage alloying materials
• Perform sampling in the spectrometer
• Dismantle and stamp furnaces and participate in inventories
• Work according to established safety procedures
