Information about the position:

Sodajo is now seeking a survey engineer on behalf of our client who wants to be part of an engaged team and contribute with technical expertise and precision. The assignment is part of our staffing services, which means you will be employed by Sodajo Consulting and work as a consultant for our client.

You will become a key person in a company where technology, precision, and quality go hand in hand. Here, you will work with advanced surveying technology in land and construction projects and help deliver high-quality solutions in a professional and efficient manner.

About the role:

Our client operates in areas such as construction, industry, and concrete, with projects spanning all areas. As a survey engineer, you will be an important resource in the projects where your expertise directly affects the quality and efficiency of the construction process. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and quality-assuring measurements that are fundamental to the progress of the projects and ensuring that the work follows drawings, technical specifications, and established standards.

The role is primarily field-based but also includes data processing, analysis, and documentation in the office. Your closest colleagues are project managers, site managers, and other functions both internally and externally. You will be the only survey engineer in the company, which means that colleagues turn to you for continued successful results in their respective projects. The position offers great freedom to plan and lead your own work while also allowing you to influence work methods, improve routines, and contribute to delivering projects with the highest precision and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct measurements and layouts on construction sites.

• Manage and analyze measurement data using modern measuring instruments and software.

• Establish and update drawing documents and models.

• Ensure that measurements comply with applicable norms and quality requirements.

• Contribute to the development of work methods and technical solutions.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is confident working independently, possesses good collaboration skills, and follows up on commitments.

• Has previous experience in a role as a survey engineer in construction and/or civil engineering projects.

• Has a relevant educational background in surveying technology, geodetic measurement, or equivalent.

• Has experience with quantity regulation according to AMA and MER.

• Holds a valid driver's license (B).

Technologies and software we would like you to have encountered in previous roles include:

• GNSS/GPS and laser scanner.

• AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, or similar.

• Experience in a Leica or Trimble environment.
