Recruitment of Department Manager in Health and Care

Your Responsibilities
Your most important task, as a first-line manager, is to be present for your employees and lead them in their daily work. With your energy and positive attitude, you are a role model for others. You are skilled at involving employees to create engagement in the organization. Driving systematic quality work through, for example, quality groups and follow-up of operations is an important part of everyday life. In this operational role, you show decisiveness and act when needed in, for example, challenging dialogues with relatives or employees. Your success factors are to listen and confirm to create security and good communication.
You report to the unit manager who has overall responsibility for the operations and finances. You are part of the management team consisting of unit managers and department manager colleagues. We have continuous meetings focusing on both operational and strategic perspectives. You contribute your expertise in business development, strategic planning, and financial matters.
Your Competence
You have the ability to lead employees through change processes, create security in groups, and communicate clearly and trustfully. With a solution-focused approach, you see opportunities even in challenging situations. Your educational background is an academic education with a suitable focus (for example, nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, and behavioral scientist). You have experience working in health and care, social work, or another relevant field.
Perhaps you are ready to take the step into your first managerial role, or you already have experience leading and developing employees. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of relevant legislation, as well as experience in driving development and change work. It is also an advantage if you are accustomed to working in digital systems and have an easy time understanding new IT systems.
Recruitment Process
We have a common recruitment process for all department managers within health and care. This means that we work continuously to recruit the most suitable candidate for our needs for department managers.
The Health and Care Administration has department managers in four operational areas: Care and nursing homes and short-term operations, Home care and service houses, Services for people with disabilities, and Health and medical care. The common focus is on development and change management as well as staffing planning to allocate resources in the best way.
