Primary Care Rehabilitation is a unit with four occupational therapists and eight physiotherapists, the department head is a physiotherapist and works partly clinically. We collaborate with VC Jakobsgårdarna, VC Kvarnsveden, and VC Säter, and our unit is located in beautiful premises in central Borlänge. We also cooperate with VC Gagnef and VC Domnarvet regarding group treatment and during absences.

Primary Care Rehabilitation is a well-functioning unit with staff who have high competence in many different areas, and there are great opportunities for development within the profession for new employees. We have good experience in mentoring colleagues into the role in primary care as we are a large workgroup that is happy to share its knowledge.

Occupational Therapist for Primary Care Rehabilitation in BorlängeJob Responsibilities

Occupational therapists in primary care work with basic dementia assessments, hand rehabilitation, some assistive device management, and assessment and treatment of patients with problems in daily activities. We conduct group treatment focused on balance and fall prevention, activity balance (ReDO), time management (Ha Koll), and energy management. We also provide daily telephone advice via Tele Q. The tasks are divided so that each occupational therapist does not work in all areas.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a licensed occupational therapist
  • has experience in one of the work areas included in our job responsibilities

We place great importance on knowledge of and interest in cognitive assessments and treatment of these issues, as this is an area where the contributions of occupational therapists have increased significantly in recent years.

Interviews will take place in weeks 12-13, do not wait to apply, we call for interviews continuously.
